7 Celebrities Who Have Revealed Their Love Of Running

331

When we think of celebrity workouts, we often assume it involves a fancy gym, expensive equipment, and a pricey personal trainer to the stars. However, many celebrities actually prefer the simple life – putting on their favourite pair of trainers and heading out for a run.

Here are 7 of these celebrities that have revealed their love of running over the years –

  1. Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding has always been very outspoken about her love of running, frequently talking about the sport during her interviews. During the pandemic, she completed the Run For Heroes 5k run to support the NHS in just 23 minutes.

  2. Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd from McFly

Musicians in the band McFly, Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd are also keen runners. They regularly post on their Instagram accounts showing them out for runs with their families to keep fit.

Tom’s wife, author and presenter Giovanna Fletcher, is also an ambassador for CoppaFeel, a British breast cancer charity, and regularly partakes in fundraiser charity runs and walks with other celebrities like Ferne Cotton, Candice Brown, and Emma Willis.

  3. Meghan Marble

Meghan Markle not only used running to keep in shape during her acting career, but she also cites running as improving her mental health. She is a firm believer that running can help you to clear your head and relieve stress.

  4. Victoria Beckham

It is reported that model, designer, and Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham completes a 3 mile run every morning, followed by an hour-long personal training session in the gym, all before heading home in time to feed her children breakfast.

  5. Nev Schulman

Nev Schulman rose to fame after starring in a documentary called Catfish, directed by his brother and friend, Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, that follows the tale of him being catfished – coining the term which is now used to describe people who lie about their identity online. He now presents a TV show of the same name.

Nev has been an enthusiastic runner for many years, making his New York City Marathon debut in 2015, where he clocked the fastest celebrity time of 3 hours and 34 minutes.

  6. Joshua ‘JP’ Patterson

Known formerly as a reality TV star on Made In Chelsea, JP is an avid runner and athlete. In 2021, he became the first person in history to run a marathon in all four counties of the UK in less than 24 hours. Of course, it is important to note that JP trained rigorously for this feat, and still sustained a serious foot injury, so don’t try this at home!

Before attempting any marathons at home, for that matter, it is important to make sure that you have trained for the distance and built up your stamina. You can do this by doing long runs on folding treadmills, or by taking part in half marathons first before working your way up to the longer distance.

  7. Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss has run both the Paris Half Marathon in 2014 and the New York City Marathon in 2017. The model finished the NYC Marathon with an impressive time of 4 hours, 41 minutes, and 49 seconds.

And there you have it – 7 celebrities who have revealed their love for running. And, if it’s good enough for the stars, then it’s surely good enough for us too!
