WHAT IS A GOBLET SQUAT ?

Goblet squat is a very popular exercise invented by Dan John, this exercise is highly beneficial for Quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings.

 

WHAT MUSCLES DOES GOBLET SQUAT WORKOUT ?

Primary muscle: The muscles that are primarily benefited by this exercise are Quadriceps. 

Secondary muscle: Calves, Shoulders , Glutes and Hamstrings are secondarily effected by this exercise.

 

WHAT EQUIPMENT DOES GOBLET SQUAT REQUIRE ?

You just need a pair of Dumbbells to perform this exercise.

 

HOW TO DO A GOBLET SQUAT ?

Performing the 6 steps below, you will be able to do this exercise properly:
1. Stand straight with your feet and shoulders wide apart, and hold a dumbbell between your hands by one end near your chest.
2. Now squat down with a sightly arched back by pushing your hips back.
3. Continue down until your thighs are parallel to the ground.
4. Hold there for a moment.
5. Now get back to the start position by standing up slowly.
6. Repeat until you’ve hit your targeted reps.
