- Lie down on your back on the workout bench and hold the barbell on your chest with your hands making and overhand grip. Make sure your hands are at a distance of shoulder width apart from each other.
- Starting position: Extend your arms in the upward direction and push the barbell against your chest. Beware, you do not lock your elbows.
- Maintain your arms in a bent position and then rotate them backwards behind your head, with the barbell in your hand.
- Keep extending the barbell back in the same position until you feel your chest being stretched. Hold on till the count of one.
- Retract the path your arms followed in the starting position and return back to the initial/starting position.
- Final position: Continue to hold the barbell up in the air against your chest.
- Repeat your reps.
