How Breakfast Juice Can Charge Up Your Energy Levels

12537

Waking up and getting to work can be a rushed affair, and even though breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it is also the meal that most of us skip as we hurry out the door trying to be on time for work. This is why more and more people are turning to juicing, to get a wholesome breakfast they can enjoy on the go.

Having a juice for breakfast is not just a great way to give your body something of substance to start the day, it is also effective as part of a weight loss plan, or a fitness plan, and to increase the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables in your overall diet.

The right juice in the morning can give you the energy you need to start the day right, and give you a boost to take into work.

Go Bananas in the morning

Bananas make a great base for a breakfast juice. Bananas are full of potassium, and are often used by athletes who need to get energy fast without resorting to refined sugars. Bananas also add a flavor and consistency to a juice that many people prefer them to vegetable-based juices.

Not a juicy fruit on their own, bananas need a little water or apple juice to help them get going. A versatile three-ingredient juice base is banana, kale and apple juice in proportions of 50% / 30% / 20%. You can add more fruits or vegetables to this mix for added flavor or vitamin content, and fresh water to thin the consistency if you require.

2. Add Super-food Supplements

There are a number of foods that have a high vitamin content, and offer further health benefits. When you first begin juicing, you may be tempted to put in lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, but this can make a juice far too complex tasting, and even unpleasant. A great way to get more into your juice, without adding too many extra elements, is through powders and supplements. Celery is a powerful super-food, so mix in a serving of celery powder to put its power in your juice, and leave the fresh celery for salads or steamed as a side dish.

3. Throw in a Vitamin Kick

Vitamins can also be directly added to your juices as a powder or by crushing a vitamin tablet and adding it to your mix. Any kind of vitamin can be added, even supplements like garlic or cod liver oil.

You can make a juice tailored exactly to your tastes that also complements your health concerns and your body’s needs. You can even add extra fiber to your diet this way, though the fresh fruit and vegetables in the juice will also be helping you there.

Some people attempting to gain muscle mass may also want to add extra protein powders.

If you decide to start juicing in the morning, you will quickly find that you are saving yourself time, while still getting a fulfilling start to the day. You can even prepare your juice ahead of time, such as the night before, to save yourself even more precious minutes in your morning routine.

To many people rely on caffeine and refined sugars to give their morning a kick start, and they soon come crashing back down to earth when the effects wear off. Having a well-balanced juice in the morning can give you all you need to stay alert and productive until lunch time.

You should try juicing and see if you can get more out of the day, while staying healthy and maybe losing a few pounds.
